About the band
The Smashed Avocados are a hard-rocking 3-piece pub rock band from Sydney's Inner West that play HARD ROCK to make you ROCK HARD! Putting on a spectacular live show like no other, they will lure you in with their theatrics, eclectic mix of genres and stage presence, getting you dancing and wanting more.
Releasing their debut EP 'Rockamole' in 2024, it introduced everyone to their SMASHING sound! It features 'My Name is Jim', an absolute pub rock banger with an infectious chorus that will even have your Nan chanting by the end, as well as 'Hey Ga', the nostalgic tune for you to get lost in with its sense of familiarity and hypnotic melodies. Hey Ga has reached over 50k streams on Spotify while My Name Is Jim has reached an impressive 73k views on YouTube.
In 2025 the Avos released their second EP 'Smashed In Space'. This mini-album will take you on a sonic journey that blasts all the HARD ROCK and FUN of 'Rockamole' into SPACE. It features the three singles 'Keira' a grand 80's inspired rock track, 'Valentine's Day', a heavy and hard hitting song that deals with how unexpected a one sided breakup can be, and 'On My Way Home' an upbeat song about finding your version of home.
While they finished their EP, The Smashed Avocados produced 'Smashed in Space the Movie', every music video from the band's second studio EP, 'Smashed In Space', loosely stitched together into a not-quite feature-length film. This movie features the Avocados in a variety of unrelated situations that lack a narrative or cohesive plot. Spread across six crews and sixteen days of shooting, the music videos were completed and released monthly from the end of 2025.
So come along to a show! Bringing your Nan, Gran and all your mates for a night of hard rock that'll make you ROCK HARD!

Live history
From sweaty bowlos to festival stages, the Avos have been hauling the noise up and down the road — leaving packed rooms, big singalongs and a few rattled beer glasses behind them. With 20 to 90 minutes of original music ready to go, they are chasing supports, support tours and small festivals across NSW and the East Coast, and will travel anywhere for the right show.
Rockamole launched into a packed Petersham Bowling Club before the Avos took the racket interstate: The Basement in Canberra, a packed Exeter in Adelaide, a laid-back Riverland arvo at Woolshed Brewery, then one last blast at North Wollongong Hotel.
The Avos returned to Petersham Bowling Club for Smashed In Space — and had the joint overflowing for launch number two.
One crack wasn't enough. The band smashed through their heat and earned a return trip to the Burdekin Hotel for the finals.
The Avos moved into Ramblin' Rascal Tavern for a five-week Friday residency: five rounds of riffs, sweat and late-night mischief.
The band brought the hometown noise to Gasoline Pony, headlining its Marrickville Music Festival slot.
